The main concept of the residence revolves around spirituality and nature. The requirement of the client for having gardens as well as spacious interiors was translated into giving indoor gardens and double heights with skylight so the entire house looks luxurious with natural light streaming in from the sky light and interior landscape adding an essence of calmness to the spaces. The first floor has an enormous semi open garden areawith a puncture in the canopy to let the rainfall add glory to the plumeria plant in the centre. The entrance to the garden is through acurved wall that acts a wind scoop that aids in air circulation to create passive cooling in the space.The terrace on the other end was required to have a screen wall for privacy and hence a parametric design has been incorporated with jail work. The staggering roof heights is brought about to give a sense of openness to the closed spaces and enclosure to open spaces.
