This is a demolition and reconstruction project proposal come up from a family of 6 living in that house for over 40 years. The proposal was to design an apartment with one 3bhk dwelling unit per floor. The family was keen on gardening and they had a beautiful nursery in the backyard and hence were very much concerned about losing that once they move into an apartment. This was satisfied by giving ample amount of open spaces in the form of a deck from the living, an exclusive garden area from the bedroom facing the road and a largebalcony from the master bedroom. Every floor plate of the road facing bedroom is twisted at 8⁰ on alternate sides on each floor to induce diffused sunlight into the space.
